Cheap tobacco often comes in big bags or pouches, with a rough cut and a dry feel that says it's been sitting on the shelf for a bit. The smell hits you with a strong, almost sour bite, and when you roll it up, it burns fast and leaves a harsh taste that lingers. It's the kind of stuff you get when money's tight and you just need a smoke, knowing you'll be coughing a little more and not really enjoying it.
